In my Usability Engineering course, our team was tasked with taking a product or service and developing an engaging webpage to encourage sign ups for crowdfunding.
We came up with a hypothetical idea called Spud. Spud - social platform (for) understanding data - is an intelligent social media aggregator using sentiment analysis and language models. Content creators can use Spud to build a dashboard and interact with their followers based off of an analysis of comments on their posts across social platforms. Content creators have the power to build mind maps and leverage qualitative insights along with numerical data to connect and engage with their followers.
Our storyboard to showcase the value-add for Spud. Our intention was to connect with our user-base, content creators, who are overwhelmed by the number of socials they have to maintain and keep track of. Spud's users are those who wish to meaningfully connect with their followers. Spud would provide the ability for content creators to aggregate and analyze the data from all their socials into one platform and engage accordingly with their followers. This would ultimately lead to a more substantial relationship between the content creator and their followers.
We incorporated humor through a potato-oriented storyboard theme which led to great product interest and feedback from our instructor and peers.
